Simon Mundell

CEO

When Simon returned to New Zealand in 2003 after exiting his businesses in the US and Europe, he sought to lead a Business Advisory firm. However, he struggled to find a team of individuals who had genuinely experienced the challenges of growing, scaling, and exiting businesses themselves. He believed that all the theory, research, and frameworks in the world could only take one so far without firsthand experience. Over the years since his return, Simon has worked to build the advisory team he had been searching for.

His journey through business has been one of courage; he has stood firm twice, refusing to give in even when folding seemed like the best option. Simon understands how both pleasure and pain can serve as motivation, both for himself and for others, and he utilizes this understanding to bring out the best in people. For him, there exists only a fine line between overwhelm and boredom.

Having lived and breathed strategic-execution for years, Simon is passionate about the exhilarating pace of change in today's business landscape. He believes that companies disciplined in their iterative planning and courageous in their innovation are the ones that succeed. He often states, "If the rate of innovation inside your business doesn't meet or exceed the innovation happening in the marketplace, you're going out of business."

Simon is the founding Director of Success-Structure.com. He previously owned Results.com, The Results Group and Advisory.Works. He successfully scaled and sold these companies through a variety of transactions including an industry roll-up, a private equity acquisition enhancing an IPO and a management buyout. Simon then took two years off to enjoy international travel and spend more time with his family. Loving what he has built and what he does has attracted him back to the Advisory space as businesses find themselves in need of determining an exit strategy for the owner. In addition to a strategic plan for continued business growth. To enhance this Simon has also launched Exit.Partners to help mid market sized businesses with succession.
